Use your coffee cup to measure water → pour into cezve.

Always start with cold water.
Measure the water

1 heaping tsp coffee per cup.

Add sugar (if desired) at this stage.

Do not stir yet.
Add coffee & sugar

Place cezve on low heat.

Once water warms slightly, stir to mix coffee and sugar.

Do not stir again.
Heat gently

As it heats, foam (crema) rises.

Just before it overflows, remove from heat.

Spoon a little foam into each cup.
Create the foam

Place cezve back on heat, let foam rise again.

Repeat 2–3 times for thicker, richer coffee.
Return to heat (optional 2–3 times)

Pour coffee slowly into cups so foam is on top.

Don’t stir after serving – grounds settle at the bottom.
Serve immediately
